A shipment of coconut oil leaves Southeast Asia for markets in Europe and North America. A consignment of fruit juice crosses oceans to reach customers around the world.
Behind every such journey lies a practical question: how can mid-volume bulk liquids be transported more efficiently, at a lower total cost, and with greater consideration for the environment?
Cross-border liquid logistics places growing demands on packaging performance across loading, storage, and transportation. In markets such as Europe and North America, where packaging recovery and environmental management are also important considerations, the end-of-life handling of packaging has become an increasingly significant part of logistics planning.
LAF Paper IBC: Faster. More Cost-Efficient. More Sustainable.
To meet these evolving demands, LAF introduces IBCraft™—a smarter approach to the transportation of mid-volume bulk liquids.
Higher Loading Efficiency: Compared with conventional drums, Paper IBCs can increase the loading capacity of a single container by approximately 20%.
Reduced Storage Space: The collapsible design can reduce empty packaging storage requirements by approximately 80% compared with rigid IBCs.
Lower Total Logistics Costs: Designed for single-use applications, Paper IBCs eliminate the need for empty-packaging return transport and cleaning after discharge.
A More Sustainable Packaging Choice: The paper box is 100% recyclable, and its carbon footprint has been assessed in accordance with ISO 14067, enabling the quantitative evaluation of its environmental impact.
IBCraft™: Engineered Structure. Ton-Level Performance.
Paper may seem an unconventional choice for packaging a ton of liquid. Yet with the right structural engineering, it can deliver the strength and stability that bulk liquid transportation demands.
LAF IBCraft™ combines a continuous winding process with a biomimetic laminated structure to create a seamless, integrated box body. Our Easy-Form process helps distribute stress more evenly at the corners, while Steel-Like Technology delivers outstanding isotropic properties and enhanced structural strength.
Together, these technologies enable a paper-based packaging structure to meet the demanding load-bearing requirements of ton-level liquid storage and transportation.
Structural performance is supported by comprehensive testing. LAF IBCraft™ Paper IBC has passed the full suite of ISTA 3E tests, including rotational edge drop, inclined impact, compression, and random vibration testing. These tests evaluate packaging performance under demanding transport conditions, helping ensure that the solution is designed for the realities of the supply chain—not just the requirements of the warehouse.
Two Product Series: Tailored to Different Cargo Requirements.
IBCraft Core | The Standard Choice for Everyday Applications
Developed for the storage and transportation of non-hazardous liquids with conventional density requirements (Density Below 1.2 g/cm³), IBCraft Core combines a purpose-designed paper box with a dedicated inner liner. The two work together to contain the liquid and provide external structural support, delivering a practical packaging solution for a broad range of standard liquid cargoes.
IBCraft Armor | Enhanced Support for Higher-Density Liquids
Designed for non-hazardous liquids with higher density and more demanding load-bearing requirements (Density of 1.2–1.4 g/cm³), IBCraft Armor features targeted structural enhancements to strengthen the overall packaging system. It is developed to accommodate applications involving greater loading demands, offering an additional option when selecting packaging for higher-density cargoes.
Flexible Configurations. More Possibilities.
Choosing the right packaging solution involves more than selecting a product series. With flexible liner options and an optional heating system, IBCraft™ Paper IBC can be configured to address a wider range of cargo characteristics and handling requirements.
IBC Liner Options: The inner liner can be selected according to cargo requirements, with options including food-grade, heat-resistant, and high-barrier materials, subject to product compatibility and configuration.
Optional Heating System: For liquids that are prone to solidification at lower temperatures, such as coconut oil, an optional heating system can help restore flowability and facilitate more efficient discharge.
Pack Smarter. Impact Less.
With its collapsible design, single-use format, and recyclability, LAF IBCraft™ Paper IBC offers a practical way to improve logistics efficiency while reducing the need for empty-packaging returns and cleaning.
One solution. Multiple efficiencies. A more considered approach to bulk liquid packaging.
LAF IBCraft™, designed to help you move liquids smarter, manage resources more efficiently, and make more sustainable packaging decisions.
