Publish Time: 2020-09-27     Origin: Site

According to information released by Harbin-Europe International Logistics, on September 22, 2020, containers issued from Penza ( located in the Volga River Basin, Russia), that carrying bulk sunflower oil in LAF Flexitanks, arrived at Harbin rail station after their long rail journey. This is the 1st time that Flexitank, being used as the package, for such a long distance international railway transportation, and it approves that Containerized Rail Transportation with Flexitank is an effective and efficient alternative for bulk edible oil transport between Russia and China.

The train arrived at Harbin, carrying 86MT sunflower oil, packed inside LAF Flexitanks, had gone through a 7078km and 16 days rail- transport. All containers were intact, without any sunflower oil leaking. LAF introduced flexitanks into Sino-Russian bulk edible oil rail transport, to replace drums, barrels, or plastic IBCs, that had made the containerized transport efficient and cost-effective. This new logistics mode eliminates the cross-pumping job at the border port; especially, with the heating pad, oil could be easily heated up and discharged at destination in winter; these changes altogether had remarkably increased the logistics efficiency, and reduced the total logistics cost.

LAF has been committed to the bulk liquid logistics packaging industry more than 10 years, has gained rich experience in Bulk Liquid Rail Containerized Transportation with Flexitank. LAF Flexitank is the 1st Flexitank branding approved by both China CRCC and Russian Rail for the international rail bulk liquid transportation between Russia and China. We are keen to promote the containerized bulk liquid logistics with Flexitank Solution, and to help bulk oil shippers, purchasers, or traders to save the logistics cost.
